Unfortunately Winter Homecoming Dance is cancelled due to lack of interest:(  Please pick up refunds from Ms. Grundman, our site controller, located in the Administration building.

Disneyland Bus #2 is cancelled due to lack of interest.  Please pick up refunds from the Ms. Grundman our site controller located in the Administration building.  The list of those who were on Bus #2 is posted in the MP room. Bus #1 is listed there also. Questions, see Mr. Platt. (J. Platt, 12/17)

LIBRARY NEWS:
THIS WEEK - the library is open TODAY & Tuesday regular hours; however Wednesday thru Friday Finals Days, the library’s CLOSED 8:AM-12:10 for Finals Testing.

Students in Econ, Gov, Health, W. Geo or Psychology remember to bring your textbook on your class return day—check with your teacher which day, either TODAY or Tuesday return day. We need your textbooks back for Term 2 checkouts in January. 

CAREER CENTER NEWS:

Are you interested in becoming a firefighter?  Captain Robert Anthony from the Sacramento Fire Department is coming to PG to talk to interested students about the ins and outs of becoming a firefighter...Presentation is schedule for Friday, February 22nd.  If you would like to receive a pass to attend this presentation please sign up in the Career Center asap. (J. Aguero, 2/22) 

CLUB/ACADEMY/ACADEMIC NEWS/EVENTS:
If you signed up to compete in the Poetry Out Loud competition, there will be mandatory try-outs on TODAYMonday, December 17. Show up to HJ6 right after school. (R. Young, 12/17)

COMMUNITY SERVICE:

Dillard Elementary school is asking for volunteers to help at its annual Father/Daughter Game Night on Friday, January 18th.  Volunteers are needed at the school from 5:30 until 8:30 or 9 p.m.  Duties include running the different games throughout the night and helping to clean up at the end.  Dinner will be provided, Chinese food and pizza will be available.  This is a fun event and easy way to earn some community service hours.  If you are interested, please call the school at 916-687-6121 to sign up.  Volunteers will be contacted by the Game Night coordinator to confirm. (D.
